Frimley Park Hospital
The Frimley Park Hospital project introduces a cutting-edge diagnostic and imaging centre in Camberley, managed by the Frimley Park Health NHS Foundation Trust. The facility, spanning three storeys, will house a specialised breast care diagnostic and outpatient unit, offering streamlined services for patients.
BIMBox was appointed as Information Manager for MTX at the Frimley Park Hospital facility, utilising Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and setting a standard for the future of healthcare projects. The project’s commitment to MMC is exemplified by its valuable use of BIM.
The adoption of these technologies and procedures ensures streamlined processes, BIMBox provided issue-tracking with BIMcollab, and clash detection with Navisworks and Solibri. The use of MMC techniques significantly reduces project timelines. BIMBox ensured the implementation of core elements, including significant technical support for the project team, excellent coordination, and collaboration, making it a successful endeavour.
The Frimley Park Hospital project demonstrates a groundbreaking approach to construction through its entirely modular build. BIMBox’s commitment to MMC is evident in the use of seven 3D models, each developed by different disciplines, ensuring precise coordination and collaboration. This modular build not only facilitates faster construction but also promotes efficiency by optimising resource utilisation and reducing errors on site. The project’s strategy is being driven by a clear vision, evident in the seamless integration of the modular building with the main hospital centre.
The project’s success is attributed to BIMBox’s strong relationship with the end client, Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, and the intermediate client, MTX.
