BIMBox is one of six consultancies to be shortlisted in the Digital Consultancy of the Year category at the upcoming Digital Construction Awards this year!

The Digital Consultancy of the Year category recognises consultancies delivering excellence and sustained client support in implementing digital processes and technologies. Our submission focused on our strategic collaboration with MTX Contracts on the Frimley Park Hospital project for Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.

The Frimley Park Hospital Diagnostics and Imaging Patient Unit project is a successful example of digital delivery in healthcare construction. Healthcare construction is notorious for its complexities and stringent regulations, these challenges demand innovative solutions.

Partnering with MTX and the NHS Trust, BIMBox bridged the gap between the Trust’s ambitious digital goals and practical delivery, overcoming challenges to redefine efficiency, sustainability, and collaboration.

BIMBox’s digital consultancy delivered transformative outcomes for both the Trust and MTX, with ripple effects across the industry. For Frimley Park Hospital NHS Trust, the project achieved a 50% reduction in construction timelines, building the diagnostics unit in just 35 weeks compared to the traditional 70-week benchmark.

This was made possible by combining MMC with a data-driven BIM strategy, enabling off-site fabrication. A detailed digital replica of the as-built asset allowed the Trust to access all critical asset data ahead of handover, ensuring seamless operational readiness the moment construction finished. This was vital on a live site located between two active hospital blocks, where even minor delays risked disrupting patient care. Flawless logistics planning and strategy eliminated errors during service connections to existing infrastructure, keeping the hospital fully operational throughout.

This collaboration exemplifies how BIMBox’s strategic approach to digital consultancy can unlock the potential of modular construction by embedding BIM into streamlined workflows, delivering transformative results and establishing a replicable blueprint propelling the NHS toward efficient, patient-centred, and resilient healthcare infrastructure.
